something about me A bit over a year ago I got back to digital illustrating and a bit over a month ago I started traditional drawing and painting again. It was always a passion of mine and I don't quite understand why I ever stopped it. Drew a lot as a child and later throughout high school until the end of my bachelor studies, it was part of my every day life, since I had drawing lessons in both - high school and college, additionally I took extra drawing lessons in my gap year and during holidays I joined plain air painting workshops multiple times. Now that I got back to it, it's my happy place, which I hope I won't be forced to leave any time soon again.
illustrators i admire at the moment There are a few and I narrowed my list to top five, which inspired me the most the past weeks.
Christoph Niemann One of my old time favorite illustrators, works together with The New Yorker, but I find his personal projects the most inspiring, there his unconventional way of thinking appears at most.
Duncan Beedie A British illustrator and a children's author. His positive illustrations contain good humor and a beautiful color range.
Henry Smith An award-winning cartoonist and illustrator. His amazing character design style takes me all the way back to my childhood!
Malika Fevre A French artist based in London, who cooperated with such companies like The New Yorker, Sephora and Vogue. Although her illustrations are quite minimalistic, the sleekness makes them unique (I adore her work).
Sha'an d'Anthes Sha'an, also known as Furry Little Peach is a young artist, specializing in watercolor technique. She's got her own shop and youtube channel, where she shows her studio and the 'making off'. Her bright and modern illustrations are outstanding!
